Jean Floyd, I have been using www.youravon.com to place my Avon orders since the site has been up and running. Prior to that, I was using www.avonorder.com. I find that using SmartShop helps me organize my order, since each item is listed by campaign and page number. I know that when I start at the beginning of my list of products to order, all the items at the beginning are backorder items. I usually draw a line so that I know where the current campaigns items begin. Even though www.youravon.com has the ability to print customer receipts, I still keep all my customer records on SmartShop. I have products, pricing and even item numbers on every product any customer has bought from me since I started using it. WWW.youravon.com will only store information for a year. That really comes in handy when a customer sent their jacket to the dry cleaners, and it came back without her favorite pin on it! Sandy Floyd, We use Avonorder.com to place our orders and am well pleased with it except for the fact that it only allows for B.O. for the previous campaign. Two campaigns back and you have to call those orders in (GRRRR!) I (the one who takes care of the paperwork; the wife does the selling) like SmartShop and find it user friendly and does work very well with our system. Thank you for taking the time to care. Lynn Well I never have learned to use the computer for Avon yet without missing it up royally.... every time I have faxed, I run into "poor line condition" and sometimes I get double or three times what I ordered from trying to re-fax. Now they have FAST TALK which I have decided has a mind of it's own and sends you what it wants to. Last week I got 20 Timeless when I ordered 2 but I coughed and it must have heard it some other way on the machine, so I feel I MUST to talk to an order taker. Sherry Hi Mr. Burton, In response to your question on how do you order from Avon? I do my order on the internet. I love the smart shop program to do my order on the internet. I don't have to flip pages or look up product numbers to do my order. All I do is generate my list for ordering and it separates it by campaign number and you know which is the back order and which is the current campaign I have absolutely no problems. Mary E Miller NC Floyd, I have been using SmartShop since May of 1998. At that time, I had just reached McConnel level in the last cycle ('97-'98). Since using SmartShop, I have watched my sales fly. The first year I had a $11,000 increase even with 2 deaths of close family members (mom and daughter). This last year, my sales increased over $9,000. I am trying to make President Council this year and so far my sales are $4,500 above last year. I love SmartShop. It frees up so much time. I just input my customers orders and hit a key. My products to order list is printed. Then I hit another key and my customer receipts are printed. If my customers call, I can look up old invoices to find out what they have ordered in the past. My customers also love the fact that I can look two campaigns back and two campaigns ahead to find them the best prices (when they call). When I finish bagging all my orders, if there is something left over, I just go to SmartShop and ask who. It will tell me who ordered the product so I can go to that bag and correct my mistake. Now for my GREAT news. I bought a used laptop from yahoo auction for $150.00. It has enough memory and hard drive space for the business. I put SmartShop on it. Now, when I am with my customer I just input order as she give me it to me. My customers now can really save money. To give you a good example, a customer had written down her order and estimated it at $35. She had written page numbers and also item numbers. I input using item numbers. By going back a campaign and ahead a campaign, I saved her over $10.00. This was one very happy customer! The night before the order goes in, I just copy all this information to my main computer. Then I print the products to order list and the customers receipts. It takes me no time at all. Thanks to SmartShop, my business has soared! Now with the addition of my laptop, it will really FLY!!! I still like SmartShop software much better than what Avon offers through youravon.com. I also have history back to 1997 versus just one year with Avon. I like that more than one receipt will fit on a piece of paper versus one sheet per customer. I like the "who" feature. I like seeing the prices two campaigns ahead vs. behind. Last night I was putting in an order for perfume. The customer was brand new and had picked up my brochure for the first time. She order it for $19.50 after trying a sample I had given her. I found it on sale for $9.99 in a previous brochure. you can bet I grabbed it. With my Avon discount that will give me a profit of $13.50 on that one item! That's close to two campaigns of software fees on only one item. you are so right when you say it pays for itself! Diane in FL Dear Carolyn & Floyd, We are able to take the time and sit down and write you this letter tonight because of the time you have saved us. Tonight we faxed our 8 page SmartShop generated fax form to Avon with our Campaign 13 order. This order was for 470 items, a total of $2,150.00. It took us a little over an hour to get the purchase order printed out, checked and faxed form generated. This is WONDERFUL!! I was able to watch the evening news. usually we are in the throes of my husband calling out the product numbers to me as I enter them in the Avon web site while the news is on. I would like to say a special thank you to Floyd, whom I call "Mr. Smart". Floyd, you absolutely saved my sanity a few weeks back when I did some major damage to my computer files. or at least I thought all was lost until you walked me through all the steps in your kind and patient way and you saved the day. I am not sure of the date we signed up for SmartShop Software, but I believe it was not long after I joined Avon, which was in November 1994. We have been through some learning sessions, but have found SmartShop has been a real boost to our business. My husband, Fritz, and I are a team and he knew nothing about computers until he "had to" learn how to enter customer orders in SmartShop. I work five days a week in an office job, so Fritz does the major delivering and now does a lot of the input of customer orders. We have been able to make the D. H. McConnell Club for the last three years. We have been one of the top sellers in our District, since the first year and Rose Circle each year thereafter, until we made McConnell club. I have a large curio cabinet and special made shelves that hold all my awards. I contribute a great deal of our success to having been on the Smartshop team. There are many things I love about the features, but the main one is being able to look up a product number to see who has ordered a certain product. there are many times when we get to the last sack and find we have products left over. All I do is go to "Who" and find out who had ordered the product - go look in their sacks and see if something has been left out. When you are servicing 80 to 130 customers this is a real big help. I have been selling Avon for 7 years, President's Club for 7 years, and have found the Smartshop program the best thing I could have even done to simplify my Avon. It has helped to increase my sales, as I can see prices before and after the current campaign, and saves me valuable time both preparing my order, and especially looking up products, when customers just give me the product they want with no numbers. There is no need to look through every book!!! My customers can depend on me, and they trust the I shall give them the best prices, and they do buy more!! If I want to call those who bought something in a prior campaign, it is easy, and it is easy to let those customers all know, THEIR product is on sale saying "Who" in the program!! This last week I just spent $180 on my computer with a local person to increase my hard drive, and I needed a new power button. I had to return it, and after trying it out today, I was on the phone with AOL FOUR times!!! One of those times I was disconnected, after I was put on HOLD! One of the guys at AOL said: "It is your C Drive, it is gone"!!! In desperation and frustration, I called from FL to Floyd, as I knew, if anyone could get me straightened out, it would be FLOYD!!! I was right, Floyd knows how to walk you through every step of the way!!! He knew what was wrong, and fixed it so I could get my campaign 20 in order, and the receipts printed, and there was nothing wrong with my C Drive!!!! It does not have to be a Smartshop problem, Floyd has helped me with my computer about any questions or problem and time day or night. thank you Floyd, and the SmartShop Program. it is worth every penny having Smartshop, and your wonderful help. Brenda (FL) Floyd Burton I usually use several methods to submit my order: paper purchase order, (I'm l=kind of a traditionalist) and depending on the amount of backorders I'll call it in on the 800 line. I don't use fast talk, I prefer to request an "Order Entry Specialist" otherwise known as a human. I've also faxed my order using the form printed with SmartShop to "generate" a purchase order. This works especially well with fundraisers. Thanks Smartshop for helping to make my life easier! Phyllis Floyd, We currently use Avonorder.com to place our order. it is completely compatible with SmartShop. Once we generate out list of products to order, then we go right down the list of product numbers Smartshop has for us, and enter them in the boxes in avonorder.com. We have heard about the youravon.com site where it forms your database of customers, just as Smartshop does, and we have heard that you can send an order from this site. We have been a little leery of trying that site for two reasons. 1) I am not real interested in Avon having access to my database of customers, and 2) I figure that I have something that works and works well, with pretty darn good support from you guys when something goes wrong, why change it? Nelda Trendsetter in Texas I love SmartShop. I wouldn't be able to run my business without it. I train new recruits for our district and have to tell them how to do it without Smartshop. I am always thankful that I no longer spend 4-5 hours trying just to pull the order together. I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate the fact that the program does all my addition for me. I am really bad at math. I don't always add 2 and 2 get 4. I know there are no errors in the math of Smartshop. I don't have to check the math two or three times per customer to make sure it is right. Every single time I have had to call for help (never Floyd's fault or that of SmartShop) Floyd always takes care of me that same day and usually, when I place the call. I never receive anything buy friendly courteous service from the staff. I highly recommend Smartshop to anyone who is not using it. Barbara I order primarily from the paper purchase order. I do place 2-3 add on orders via phone or internet. Smartshop goes well with any of these methods and I don't want to live without it! It is so much better then using individual receipts to place my order. I use the products to order sheet for my regular and add-on orders and it keeps me better organized. When I place on the products to order sheet and I have a good record of what I have ordered and when. I think you are on the right track with the new demo diskette program. Just wanted to add that since I have been using Smartshop my sales have not only increased but my productivity has. I have more time to do other things, causing SmartShop saves time. It is also very good in assisting customers get the best price. It enables me to have quick reference as to what customers have ordered, etc. Don't know of any program that gives as much info, makes your more efficient and saves you time. not to mention keeping get track of orders delivered and paid... makes tax time easier too! I allow my customers to order one campaign back but the ability to see all 3 available prices gives me the opportunity to perhaps get an even lower price for myself and change the customer the higher price with the profit going toward paying the per-campaign cost. at the same time it gives me the ability to see if something will be on sale the next campaign and alert the customer is case they'd like to wait for the better price -- this brings great customer loyalty and goodwill! Its the"edge" that sets me apart from other reps in my area who don't have the software and won't take the time to check ahead on their own. before I found Smartshop, I use to do it manually and it took a lot of my time. I work a regular full time job and have a family so every minute saved with my Avon is like more money in the bank! Thanks Floyd! People ask what the future with E-Rep will mean to Smartshop users. Frankly, I wonder what it will mean to people who DON"T use Smartshop. If I didn't have Smartshop in my business, it would be like losing my right arm. I have been an Avon rep for three years now, and SmartShop has provided me with the speed, data, organization, and tools I need to reach McConnell club in these three years. I could not have handled the rapid growth of my business without it. I an excited about the E-Rep opportunity, and think it is going to be good for business, but I don't foresee it ever replacing the services of the Smartshop program. Here are some of the components of Smartshop that are critical to my business: *Access to product prices two campaigns back and one forward so I can offer the best prices to my customers at all times. (The "Shop" function) *Ability to access my customer' past receipts to see what they've bought, when they bought it, and for how much. ("Inquiry") This is invaluable information for returns, or reordering "their" product. *Product prices flagged as "combo offer," or "2 for" offer, or "free gift" with purchase. *Each item is marked by which campaign, which booklet (Outlet, Inspirational, What's New, etc(, and which page for ready reference. This function along saves hours per campaign. *I can print out a delivery sheet for each campaign that tells me my customers' names, addresses, phone numbers and totals. I use this for delivery and tax purposes. *SmartShop prints my customers' receipts which saves me time in writing then out, mistakes in adding them up, and paper in printing them since it prints as many to a page as possible. *The "Who" function allows me to look up who ordered a certain product so I can bag that left over item, or fill that backorder that just came in, or offer those customers a sale price on their item, or the next series. *The most useful function of Smartshop is that when I finish entering all my customers' orders, I can print out a list of all the products I need to order, organized by campaign, and by page number. That way I order by Purchase Order, by phone, by internet - whatever may come from Avon. I'm still going to have to know what to order, and this is the tool that quickly gives me this information. if you are serious about Avon, you should seriously look into the benefits of using Smartshop. It is very fast on my order day (I'm using the web to "quick enter" my order), but I wouldn't be able to do that without first pulling the products list and the detail list to find out how many customers I have, etc. You know I quit Smart Shop for a short time last year and used just the Avon software - ooh, that was a mistake.
